Your Childcare Center Was Never Meant To Operate In Constant Survival Mode
Leadership burnout, staff instability, emotional exhaustion, and constant reactivity are often signs of a dysregulated leadership environment not personal failure. If this is how your center is running day-to-day:
• You’re constantly covering classrooms
• Staffing issues keep repeating
• Your team feels overwhelmed
• Small issues turn into bigger disruptions
• Everything depends on you holding it togetherYou are in survival mode. Most childcare leaders think the problem is staffing, enrollment, burnout, or lack of systems. In reality, many of those challenges are symptoms of something deeper. When leadership is operating from chronic stress and nervous system overload, the entire center begins responding from survival instead of stability. You cannot create healthy culture from constant emotional exhaustion. The Childcare Stability & Leadership Intensive™ helps childcare center leaders identify the deeper patterns keeping their center stuck in survival mode and begin rebuilding from a place of stability, regulation, and sustainable leadership.
The Childcare Stability & Leadership Intensive™
For years, I watched childcare leaders carry the emotional weight of their entire center on their backs.
The staffing shortages. The constant call-offs. The pressure to keep classrooms covered. The emotional exhaustion of trying to hold everything together while still showing up for children, families, and staff. I realize that most childcare centers are not struggling because leaders do not care. They are struggling because too many leaders have normalized operating in survival mode. When a leader’s nervous system is constantly dysregulated, the instability eventually spreads throughout the entire center. The team morale suffers, communication breaks down, turnover increases reactivity, replaces intentional leadership, and the center begins functioning from stress instead of stability.I created The Childcare Stability & Leadership Intensive™ to help childcare leaders slow down, identify the deeper patterns creating instability, and begin rebuilding healthier leadership foundations from the inside out, and help childcare leaders begin recognizing the difference between managing chaos and leading from regulation. My Intensive Is for Childcare Leaders Who feel emotionally exhausted from constantly putting out fires, tired of operating in reaction mode every day, feel the pressure of carrying their center alone, know their center needs more stability, consistency, and alignment. This is for Childcare leaders who want to become a healthier, more regulated leader for themselves, their staff, families, and ready to address the root of survival mode not just the symptoms.

Hi, I’m Connie and I’m a Leadership Trainer for Childcare Center Owners and the Founder of The Childcare Leadership Institute.
I’ve spent more than 20 years in early childhood education, starting as a volunteer and working my way through every level of leadership. Teacher Assistant, Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, & Center Director.
I’ve built classrooms. I’ve hired and developed staff. I’ve stabilized enrollment. I’ve led teams through pressure. And I’ve witnessed firsthand what happens when leadership loses alignment.
One of the most defining seasons of my career was directing a brand-new childcare center.
When we opened, there were no parents enrolled and no internal structure in place. I worked side-by-side with the owner to build the foundation from the inside out — hiring mission-aligned staff, building strong parent relationships, and implementing systems that allowed us to fill classrooms within the first 90 days.
But I also witnessed what happens when leadership with the owner shifted in survival mode instead of protecting internal culture. Staff morale declined. Leadership fractured. And eventually the center was forced to sell. That experience solidified something I know to be true:
Childcare business requires leaders to have a regulated nervous system, clear leadership, and a solid culture for teachers to thrive in.
Today, through the Childcare Leadership Institute, I help daycare owners build stable centers where:
• Teachers feel valued
• Parents feel confident
• Leadership feels aligned
• Revenue becomes predictable because the foundation is strong
My work is not about enrollment hacks or quick financial strategies. It is about leadership alignment, culture stability, and protecting the integrity of the childcare industry that I love.
